Hot Forging: It is the process of forming the shape of the metal in hot condition into a predetermined shape.
A metal is heated to the proper temperature by high-speed electric induction before it is inserted into a metal piece.
Bolts are hot forged when the material is too large in diameter or it is not malleable enough.
Steps for producing hot forged bolts
The fastener market is demanding more hot forged fastener product Hexagon and other Headed Bolts and Socket screws.
Bolts with Large diameters and exclusively above M36 are produced by hot forging.
Extreme long lengths again lend themselves to hot forging.
Short production runs for diameters M5 and above make hot forging a preferred alternative to avoid the high set-up costs for cold forming.
Step1:Find quality raw materials
Raw materials refer to the raw materials purchased from manufacturers, which mainly include the following parameters:
A. Brand
B. product name
C. Specifications
D. Material
E. Heat number or batch number
F. Number/weight

Step2:Wire drawing/Phosphating
Function
Wire drawing:
1. Rust removal
2. Pull until the specified wire diameter
Phosphating:
Smooth material surface to reduce damage to machine

Step3:Cutting materials
Cutting equipment is mainly used for cutting, and the length of the material should be determined according to the design requirements, and the cutting is required to be accurate.

Step4:Rear chamfer
Large size bolt tails are usually chamfered
Step5:Hot forging
Step6:Head chamfer
Mainly used for hexagonal heads
Step7:Roll Threading
Thread rolling uses two threaded rods to squeeze the workpiece to be machined, so that the surface of the part is pressed out of threads.
Step8: Heat treatment (not necessary)
Heat treatment is a thermal process that accomplishes three primary improvements to the material properties of metal castings:
Improving mechanical properties.
Enhancing corrosion resistance.
Reducing residual stresses.

Step9: Surface treatment
The surface treatment of fasteners is a process of forming a covering layer on the surface of the workpiece by a certain method,
and its purpose is to endow the surface of the product with beautiful and anti-corrosion effects.
